Workshops by Rose Hughes
Rose Hughes is a fabric artist from Southern California who creates one-of-a kind quilt art pieces. She uses layers of luxurious silk, velveteen and cotton fabrics, paints, yarns and embellishments to transform fabric into wondrous landscapes where color and shape play with the senses.

Rose has been working in fabric since 1991 and has had her work shown nationally and internationally through group and solo exhibits. During this time her work has been acquired by numerous collectors nationwide and featured on Simply Quilts. Along with creating her own work that is sold through regional galleries and exhibitions, Rose lectures and teaches many of the techniques she has written about in her Stuff of Dreams book series.

Always on the lookout for new ideas, Rose believes there are many new pathways out there ready to be discovered, and along those pathways come new fabrics, new colors and news sights that happily end up in our quilts.
